Horses are carried in equipped horse—drawn wagons – in small vans for 1-2 horses. But there are more spacious ones — up to 22 heads, in trucks with high sides. In inclement weather or in winter, trucks are equipped with awnings. And for very long journeys, they use sea, or even air transport.

Before traveling, in order to avoid injury, horses are not tightly bandaged legs under quilted jackets. At the same time, the hock and wrist joints are captured. For loading, a bridle with a rein is put on the horse, or a halter (this is a bridle without a bit) with a chombur (a halter rein). In transoport, horses are tied so that they have freedom of movement at the head and neck. To avoid a collision of horses, they are tied so that they cannot touch each other. Special partitions, wooden or metal, are installed between the horses.

Horse transport

If the car is open and the weather is windy, then you need to put a horse blanket on the horse. Sports horses can be carried to competitions saddled, but not in any case with strained girths. Stirrups need to be tucked into putlishcha, according to all the rules.

Horses, which are rarely transported, try not to frighten when loading. Several people get them into the transport. If the animal is very scared and bounces off, afraid of the horse carriage, then you need to use not force and rudeness, but patience and ingenuity. Also horses are calmed by patting on the body and your smooth, soothing voice. It is necessary to let the horse sniff the wagon, and then lure the horse there with a bag of oats, a bundle of hay, or better juicy grass, sugar, an apple or a carrot. If the horse approaches the wagon and continues to rest, then you can carefully take her legs and move them alternately.

Horse transportation

Horses are usually not fed before loading. But on long trips, it is necessary to observe a three-time regime of feeding horses and drinking, as in a stable. The difference is only in reducing the norm by 2-3 kg and increasing the amount of hay. Horse walks at long stops are desirable.

Proper transportation of horses

Transportation of horses is allowed in the presence of a veterinary certificate and is carried out under the conditions stipulated by the Law on Veterinary Medicine and the Veterinary Charter.

It is allowed to transport only healthy horses from areas where there were no infectious diseases, from farms in which preventive vaccinations were made and studies were conducted for glanders, accidental illness, infectious anemia.

Transportation of a horse by car

At least three days before the shipment, the horses begin to be given those feeds that will be used during transportation. Loading horses into a vehicle should be carried out in the daytime in a calm environment and begin with calm, non-aggressive horses, while screams and beatings of animals are unacceptable. Transportation of horses is carried out by rail, road, air and water transport.
